Helen Re: my original post below: once you get to the first page of "Markdown Manager" there most likely will be another link which says "Selectively putting items on sale is an excellent way to promote your listings and attract new buyers. Learn more about Markdown Manager." You click on that "learn more" and that is when it takes you to the create your sale page. Not sure if it will be the same.
What is nice is that on that first page of "Markdown Manager" it keeps a running list of sales that you have had and the start and end dates, percent as well as the number of items in that category, even the ones that are inactive (expired). Makes it very easy to know that it has been several months since you had a sale of a certain category. The way I handle mine is that when I do a new sale of a category that expired several months ago, I then delete the inactive one. Not sure how many sales the page will keep track of or for how long, but I do know that once in awhile very old ones will disappear.
Also when a sale is active you can click on the number (ones selected) next to the 'title/category' line and scroll to the bottom of the page where it will show the same number and also a lower number which had been part of the selected ones but sold.
