Helen I did a quick look about ending sales and couldn't find anything. The info on "editing" sale items says that you can not change the end date. Best suggestion is to do as you mentioned, contact ebay. You could also go to the ebay stores discussion board and start a new top re: Markdown Manager Problem. No doubt there are people there who are eager to help and might have a fix for you. Here is the link

The only way I know to get the sale to end before its end date is to go in to each and every listing and revise something - even changing a comma in your description or something like that will result in it ending the sale. BUT I know if you have hundreds of items listed that is not a very practical solution. However, you could first start with items you really don't want on sale - top priority ones.
If ebay can't do anything and there is no alternative but to let the sale run its course, console yourself with the fact that July (and August) is usually the slowest time of the year for sales, at least it is for me with books. People on vacation, busy outside, etc. I hope that this inital error in Markdown Manager does not cause you to never give it a try again.
June Kamm (dupo) On the SS Benefit Application form that I printed out, it says "If we determine that you qualify for benefits as a spouse, we may need proof of your marriage. We will contact you if we need the document. [emphasis mine]. Just wanted to let you know.
I went back to the SS site and nosed around a bit and found out that I will be receiving my check on the 4th Wed of the month. If your date of birth is 1st-10th of the month: 2nd Wed; 11th-20th of the month: 3rd Wed; 21st-31st of the month: 4th Wed.
I also came across "my Social Security– Sign In Or Create An Account" and one selects a username/password IF one wants an on-line account. I did not. It is NOT where one goes to apply for retirement benfits. I linked to that place on the SS site in an earlier post. think this "my social security account" is in place of the PIN numbers that were once sent out to people so that I could access account info on-line. They do say it is NEW. As I mentioned my DH never bothered with it. Not sure if he didn't bother with applying for the PIN number or got it but never used it to check SS stuff on-line. You can use the account for changing your address or direct deposit, getting earning records and estimates of what you paid into SS, etc.
The "my social security-sign in or Create An Account" has a section called "How We Verify And Protect Your Identity" The SS site is not being run by Experian, but they do help SS verify your identity for the purposes of being able to the "my SS account". I could be wrong, but I don't think that Experian has anything to do with the application process itself, only in this. At least that is the way it appears to me. Some of the info given about setting up this "My SS account"
Personal Information You Need To Provide
Name;
Social Security number;
Date of birth;
Residential address;
Phone number; and
E-mail address.What We Will Do With Your Information
We may use an external authentication service provider, Experian, to help us verify your identity.
We verify your information against our records. Experian verifies your information against its records.
We will not share your Social Security number with Experian.
Experian will only keep the information we share for the period of time required by federal laws, regulations, or guidelines.
We will not keep the information that Experian provides us.
Experian may use information from your credit report to help verify your identity; this may result in what is known as a “soft inquiry” on your Experian credit report.
Your Experian credit report will show an inquiry by the Social Security Administration with our address and the date of the request.
Soft inquiries do not affect your credit score, and you do not incur any charges related to them.
Soft inquiries are displayed in the version of the credit profile viewable only to consumers and are not reported to lenders.
The soft inquiry will not appear on your credit report from Equifax or TransUnion, and generally will be removed from your Experian credit report after 25 months.
Once you have registered for an online account, you will not generate additional soft inquiries by logging in to access our services.
If You Cannot Or Do Not Want To Create An Account Online
You may be unable or unwilling to create an online account if you:
Have blocked all electronic access to your personal information with us;
Have recently moved or changed your name;
Have been the victim of domestic violence or identity theft; or
Are uncomfortable with or unable to use the online process for some other reason.
In these cases, you may still create an account in person by visiting your local Social Security office.
What Does It Mean When I See A Green Address Bar When I Am Asked To Enter Personal Information?
The green address bar at the top of your screen indicates the website has an extended validation certificate. This means the information you provide to Social Security will be encrypted and the owner of the website has been verified by a certification authority.
Extended validation certificates, and their green address bar indicators, provide assurance the website you are using is legitimate and safe, and not a phishing - or fake - site used to trick you into revealing personal information.
We recently added extended validation certificates to our secure websites that ask you to enter personal information. You should check for the green address bar and verify the website owner is Social Security before you enter any personal information.
.
And there is more info provided. But as I previously stated, this was not the application part of the site nor did I have to create this "my SS account" to fill out the application for benefits. That is a different 'tab' at the top of the page.
