diane (furtima) The car loan question has nothing to do with collecting SS benefits or even applying for them or filling out the application.
The car loan question had to do with an entirely different matter - the setting up of a "My SS account" page to see what one's earnings are, change an address, etc.
Beth and I were doing two different things. I was filling out the application for benefits and she was filling out info for the "My SS account." The questions that they asked her are commonly asked by credit agencies to ascertain that who you are. They already have that info on file from when you applied for a loan before.
