Beth (Bethofvt) ~ I did remember that after I posted you do give your SS number to employers, but you are not required to give them a birth certificate or tell them where you were born. The latter was one of the questions that I was asked. True about how many more places started to ask for the SS number. I am thinking back to when I first started working and the number was not to be given or used by any one except for employers and then it seemed that everyone and his brother was asking for it.
