Irene (lovetohike) ~ I bet you did find them interesting!! In the way watching a train wreck is! hahaha! Well, at least you had some nighttime reading while tending your cat. Hope the cat is on the mend or if no, then not in any pain.

Speaking of Swifty, I'll soon be listing his Tom Swift Sr. books with some of them going up for auction. Of the Jr. that sold so far, they paid for one month of his Cobra. His former employer had some consulting work for him and that brought in enough for another month's Cobra payment. I am hoping that his Sr. books bring in at least two Cobra payments.

Carol/bookdelle Yesterday evening we had another thunderstorm and the heat and humidity broke a bit, but started to rise again. We are supposed to get hit with heavy rain and high winds later today from a storm moving in from the west. Pittsburgh had flash flooding.

As I have mentioned before I grew up in the mountains of western PA. High temps and high humidity never hung around long. Maybe a week in July and then it would break and then another week in August and then it would break. DH kids me that even after 35 plus years of living here I am still not used to it living in a valley.

Usually we always went to New England for summer vacation but one summer decided to go south. Don't know what we were thinking. The first part of the trip was great. We had a cabin in the mountains, Skyline Drive and it was very nice, but then we went down the mountain and oh, my it was unbearable! What a difference altitude made!
