Simply amazing! A couple of months ago I mentioned that I had sold 3 or 4 different editions of GULLIVER'S TRAVELS within 2 weeks. I said that if you see any copy at all pick it up because for whatever reason it was hot, hot, hot. At a book sale that DH and I attended on Thursday we picked up a "leatherette" Franklin Library GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. Listed it today and within and hour it sold! As I said when all of those first ones sold a couple of months ago, I could find no reason why GULLIVER'S TRAVELS had suddenly become so hot (no anniversary of birth, death, first publication, or movie) but there seems to be no signs of abatement.
Helen Don't forget there are two ways of putting your store on vacation. One where your store items are not visible and no one can buy while you are away and the other still lets people buy but adds a tag at the top that you are away and there may be a delay in shipping. If you chose the second, be aware that ebay still holds you to the next day shipping if you opted into that. As I mentioned last summer the second is what we used last year for a week long vacation but ebay had said nothing about still be required to ship within one day. We sold a ton that week and then ended up losing some 'status' which in turn caused us to lose the 20% discount. Got it back in about 3 months but it ticked me off at the time that ebay said nothing how it would work and still expected you to ship within a day even when on vacation. Of course there reasoning was that people misuse the on vacation feature and if they were to change it to what made sense, those people would take advantage and use to give themselves extra days to ship.
