re: young people not reading newspapers. After my youngest son visited with my oldest brother the other summer, he called him "a walking Wall Street Journal" LOL Swifty reads newspapers on-line too. Seldom do I ever find some article that may interest them that they haven't already read. They both pay and download technical articles for their Kindles also.

Swifty says that when you find yourself reading the comments that people leave after the article, you know it is time to move on. I told him that least newspapers like the New York Times have more intelligent people leaving comments than what this city's paper does. He thinks the people who leave comments on the NYT are only slightly more intelligent than the ones here. Most likely just leaving comments makes him think the person isn't too bright...I better not tell him that I have been known to leave a comment now and then on our local paper site.

Another capital city that has never had a great section on covering legislative matters. DH and I do read it on-line. No ads on-line. Quit subscribing about a year ago but his mother still gets it so we still get the coupons. Think it was in January of this year when instead of it being a daily, it went to 3 times a week.
