I’ve been retired almost 15 years and Diane retired the end of last month. I’ve been doing all the cooking and grocery shopping and she does the cleanup. In warm months it's easy as I do a lot on a charcoal grill so little cleanup and simpler meals. She’s on restrictions as far as sodium intake so it’s been rougher to come up with tasty, interesting meals – no longer can I rely on takeout or store bought meals in a pinch. Tomorrow we’re having fried sunfish so she’s doing that one – ah, a day of no planning or fixing for me – except for brunch.
