I'm with you on food textures. My mother told me that when I was a baby she tried to feed me Jello (all kids love Jello, right?) and I'd hold it in my mouth until it melted and then let it run out. Still can't abide much of anything with a soft texture, hate mashed potatoes, cooked cereals without texture (and can no longer find Red River cereal around here, darnit!) and other squishy foods. I would eat an occasional marshmallow if it were cooked over fire and had a charred, crispy exterior. I can't imagine I'd like peeps but have never tried one. Good thing we don't all have the same likes/dislikes.
