Yes, too cold there but we've had a number of days in the 40's with below freezing night temps. There certainly have been significant changes in that operation since I was a youngster. Back then, everyone used tin pails hanging from the taps and had to go tree to tree emptying the pails into a larger container on the back of a truck or wagon. Next came plastic bags and then plastic lines running through the woods to one or a few collection points. The sugar bushes all used wood to fire their boilers; now it's almost entirely powered by gas. Even with all the changes, it's still not an occupation for someone afraid of physical work.
