Hoping t-storms later will lower temp & humidity here.
I picked up a book I never heard of and am finding the author is an excellent writer. If you are or were raised Roman Catholic you should enjoy this book and even those of us not RC can enjoy it!. All Saints by Liam Callanan. It is about a 50 yr old woman who teaches theology at a Catholic High School in Newport Beach, Ca. Example:
" There are those schools and churches who put all their eggs in one basket,
naming themselves for, and thus invoking the protection of, a single saint.
Saint Monica's say, or Saint Robert, Saint Aloysius, Saint Joseph.......
Some hedge their bets with two: Saints Peter and Paul......
And then there were outfits like ours.....who threw up their hands and said
oh, heck bring it all on: this is how you ended up with a school like the one
where I taught, All Saints Catholic High School."

I haven't read enough to know where the story line is going.
