Good Morning from So. NH where it has been below average temps all week. It is supposed to warm slightly this weekend.
Jude- maybe I should look at the old patterns I have, again. Good sale.
So wray found an oddball book in the book bin at the supermarket. It is occult and limited to 1,000. Did some research and found only a few offered for sale and all in the several hundred dollars range. Listed it at ebay auction for $295 - lots of lookers but no bidders. Then I decided to do a fixed price with offer and listed at $195. Had an offer within hours - $175 + postage to UK and we accepted that. It's not like he had a lot of money invested in the book. Also sold an old Masonic book by greatly reducing the price - $125 is good though not great. We have to move books and I may try fixed price with offer for more of them. We have the remaining stock from the closed shop (thousands) and ofcourse the newly acquired 1500 art books.
Having a yard sale tomorrow and Sun. The word "on the street" is things aren't selling unless they are very cheap so I am standing in front of a mirror practicing saying, one dollar. 🙂 In order to clean out the packed garage I advertised "mystery boxes". I'm going to bring boxes etc out of garage and let people go through and make prices cheap. I have plenty of other things priced and ready for display. I have a strong, metal work bench at the back of the garage that wray wants to use to stack boxes of books - but he can't get to it.
Reading Patricia Cornwell again - Kay Scarpetta. Finished another Jo Nesbo (Norwegian writer) - Harry Hole (that's Holl-ay).
