Book Board Chat

June- I am from a small family too. My Dad was an only child and my mother the oldest of three. There was my sister and myself and 3 cousins. My sister and one cousin did not have any children and I have one daughter. We grew up living in my grandmother's house - father's mother and my mother's parents only lived about 5 miles away until they moved to Florida.
At Christmas our house was the "go to" house for both sides of the family as well as my grandmother's brother & wife and niece and husband. It was a good crowd!
My daughter has 3 cousins in So. California, only one of which she is in contact with. Daughter does not have any children. So the small family gets smaller.

I didn't really run into large families until I moved here, Manchester, NH. The combination of French-Canadians and Irish led to larger families as well as some of the Greek families.
