fringe of Haight-Ashbury. I saw Janis shopping on Haight St. several times as well as all the concerts.

Paula - I don't put Lady Gaga in the same class as others you mentioned. She is a talented pianist and performer who does a lot of "theater" to attract attention. I saw a show about her with interviews and she is quite intelligent. She attended a private Catholic girls' high school in Manhattan. I heard that she chose her name as reference to Queen's Radio GaGa. Another talented musician - Freddie Mercury including having studied opera.
