Happy Birthday, Dan!
Beth - is the "incident" such that it could be harmful to your son or others? If no, I'd say No Meds.
Will the meds reduce future symptoms by starting them now?
I tend to be cautious about med use although I am on several myself. One of the meds I take for narcolepsy is now
used for some with MS - Provigil (Modifinil). It is to counteract fatigue or sleepiness. I know three people with MS and fatigue
and stamina seem to be issues. One friend has a car modified for hand controls only. One fellow has issues with his legs feeling hot all the time so when not at work, he wears shorts year round. The people I know are all much older than your son and were in their 40's when signs first appeared.
You are fortunate that you are close to Dartmouth.
