And so it begins - drizzle and light rain today and torrential rain and high winds tomorrow into Christmas Day. Will be in the mid-high 50's on Christmas and still warm through the weekend. Yes, this is New Hampshire and the ski places must be tearing their hair out as it is the big Christmas school vacation time and not even cold enough to make snow - well maybe way up North.

Jim- I copied your info re: pics as I've been having trouble ever since I got my new computer and it slowing me down with ebay. Even when I get what I need to edit etc. I'm not sure how it happened. I use the SD card but I don't have the program I had on the old computer - they could copy my pics but not the program I used.

Jim- re: historical fiction. Rutherford is your man. He wrote several books of fiction about England, Ireland, London, New York etc. I really enjoyed the one on New York City. Big, fat tomes. Hillary Mantel is the one people are raving about now - English history of the time before and after Henry VIII. Wolf Hall has two volumes and readers are waiting for the third. Someone did a play of one of her books that is in London now and coming to New York in the Spring. I didn't read them as I'm not that interested in that period of history but wray and his friend have read them and rave about them - and wray doesn't usually read fiction.

Christmas Eve day we are going to a friends house where she will have some of her family whom we know and Christmas Eve I'm going to an open house with the family that has 5 young children. Christmas Day my daughter and her on again/off again boyfriend are taking me out for Chinese food but time is uncertain.

My daughter has had three boyfriends named John in the past few years so she refers to the current John as #3. 🙂

Enjoy your celebrations - be safe and be well.
