I agree with what you say Beth but I was a member of the NRA too and I know they are buying the politicans and have gotten anyone that votes against them thrown out and replaced by someone that will not vote against their ideas. I think everyone who buys a gun either through a dealer or at a gun show show should have to pass a background check. If there is nothing to hid then why so scared of checks. They ( government) already know your address and what you have for toys by the tax records so they aren't going to come to my house and take my three guns. I don't think you would let them come to your house and do it either. But the government has to be able to really check effeciently before they can check for gun shows and they can not do that yet.
