memories..... when I was a kid and TV had just become popular, my family loved watching the Philadelphia Mummers Parade (of course no color then, but the costumes were wonderful and the music was so happy).... go on you tube and you can find lots of film of them over the years...... Here's a ladygiving a "history" of how it all came about.
