Sorry to hear you are not feeling too well, Maureen. Do let others help you. It is sometimes a kindness to let others be kind to you. I went out for tea yesterday with a good friend. It was an old fashioned setting with unmatched tea cups and lots of various teapots on display. We had a choice of teas and then were served with ss mult-tiered plates. On the bottom were savories and sandwiches, then crumpets and scones, and at the top a choice of mini dessert tarts and fresh fruits. It was delightful.
As for book suggestions, I was at the library today and took out The Boy in the Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol and Agnete Friis. Another choice was An Uncertain Place by Fred Vargas. Both are mysteries which are my favorites. For non-fiction, I took out Gilded Lives, Fatal Voyage. It it about the Titanic's first class passengers and their world.
There do not appear to be the usual number of estate sales this weekend. This is the first year I notice a decline in the number of sales. Still I plan to get to at least three and then back home to slog away on EBay.
