I also use VTG or Vintage in the title when the book I'm selling is a first edition or early printing of a book that is commonly available as a modern reprint, such as a Walter Farley horse book, a Betty Crocker cookbook, or a children's book that isn't out of print. I use VTG/Vintage as a key word when doing price comparisons and want to narrow my search, and I think buyers do that as well. With the number of spaces now permitted in an item title, I think "VTG" can be a valuable addition, (along with everything else that should be in a title), even if too many sellers use it inappropriately.
