They were talking about releasing the movie back in 2015 but I think the Sept 2016 date is pretty firm. I see someone else has written another book "Harry and Snowman" (Hapka).
Not sure if I am remembering correctly but I think the prices on Snowman have dropped over the years so it will be interesting to see if the movie drives them back up again - Good luck with your copy, Beth! Hope it does well for you. There is a FB page for Snowman and Harry if you want to keep an eye on the movie release
