Book Board Chat

Hi, haven't been here for a long time so it was nice to catch up. Very interesting discussion about childhood books. I, too, loved Nancy Drew . I remember on Christmas mornings there was always a new one on my bed to keep me occupied until my parents were ready to wake up. Both of my parents loved to read so the house was full of books and Mom took us to the library every Saturday for more. She could curl up on the couch and read in the midst of chaos (my younger sister and brother and all of their friends) and never even notice. And Daddy read to us until way after we could read on our own doing all the voices and making the characters come alive. Good memories. Right now I'm in the mood for spooky books. Just finished The Night Country by Stewart O'Nan.
