We used to go to Vegas every couple years for DH's reunion with some of his Air Force buddies. I always enjoyed playing the slots because it was something we could not do in Illinois at that time. I think it was the novelty of being able to gamble that made it fun. Once riverboat gambling (and later full casinos) became legal here in Illinois, gambling lost its uniqueness.
