Jim -- What did Twain say? "Lies, da*n lies, and statistics." According to one party inflation is "transitory", no wait -- it never happened, uhhhh wait again -- it was like this when I got here! (yeah, right). Can't give the other party a pass either, as I sure don't see them trying to rein in the insane spending which has killed 30% of the value of a US $ in the last three years.

Perhaps it my age, but I'm changing. I used to be quite political, always eager to debate out points in chat rooms. No more. I'm done. The goal now is to find a nice quiet cave in central Wisconsin where I can hide from people (must be walking distance from good fishing). Screw the use of money entirely. I'll barter fresh fish with the Amish for baked goods.

As for the immediate issues here, MASSIVE tree down straight across my yard from the storm two days ago. (this doesn't happen to people who live in caves) Yet, I feel lucky. My neighbors house took a lightening hit that fried out their AC/HEAT unit. Total loss and they said their deductible is 2K. Ouch.

Geeesh. As I read my post back I see its a collection of grumpy moans and whines. I told you, I'm getting old...

Mystery Horse -- way cool!! I've heard about the existence of people others call "Gentlemen" or "Ladies". I always figured it was a reference those who owned horses. So from now on....you are the honorable "Dame Lady Jane"! So, ...how much of the purse do you get?....pennies?....or I'm buying only first editions from now on sort of windfall?
