Many electric car advocates can be truthful but very misleading.
I remember one congresswoman telling how she drove from Michigan to Washington D.C. in her electric car. She said how wonderful it was to pass gas station after gas station with people in them stopped to get gas. She had an electric car and did not have to stop! She made no mention of how she would have had to stop every 100 mile for about 30 minutes to recharge for another 100 mile drive or about one hour for a 200 mile recharge. The gasoline car stops would have added up to about 15 minutes for the 11 hour trip. The electric recharging stops would have added another 3-1/2hours to the trip.Oh, but while the battery is recharging you can go to have a delicious meal. Isn't that nice? And, two hours later, you can recharge again and have another delicious meal. And, two hours later, you can recharge again and have another delicious meal. And, two hours later, you can recharge again and have another delicious meal. And, two hours later, you can recharge again and have another delicious meal.
