Hi y'all!
We 've had more rain, and some big storms here, luckily the tornados did not come to our city. Last year we had drought, so it really appreciated that the gardens and tree are so lush and green. We are about a month ahead here in flowers, don't know what will be happening in late July and August. The roses have come and gone and the peonies. The day lilies are about half through. They are really pretty, have white Annabelle Hydrangeas and pink Invincibelle hydrangea.in front. We've had some hotter weather but the rains sometimes bring some coolness too. It was cool and misty this A.M. and I did some weeding and deadheading.
My brother Mike is visiting from Out West, so glad to see him, and his little dog too! We had a get together with some cousins from my Mother's side, our Mother and their Mother were identical twins. I resemble the oldest one quite a lot. It was really fun, we met their Half-brother who no one knew about until we were all much older. He was very personable and entertaining.
It was Make Music Madison last week, and a friend and I visited a very nice outside house party with three interesting and talented acts. There was free music all over town, but I don't have the energy, esp in heat to run around like I used to do. Our young neighbors rode bikes and visited ten places!
