My home owner's insurance has more than doubled in the last few years. I thought it was because I live in Florida with a lot of hurricane threats lately. Now I read that insurance rates have been going up all over the country with fewer insurance companies to chose from. With the higher cost of repair supplies I can see why repairing damage takes a lot higher insurance payout. A gallon of paint that used to cost around $15 is now around $50 and a $5.95 sheet of plywood is now around $60. I can't believe the prices. Madness.
