Hello to all from Belleville, Illinois where it is a lovely day. The sun is shining, the temperature in in the upper 70s, and the humidity is low.

My mother also suffered severe vision problems. That's why the last few years of her life I took care of her finances. She could not see well enough to write out a check. I was always careful to let her know what had been paid. If she had a CD that was maturing, I would do the research to see what rates and terms were available at local banks and tell her the information so she could decide where she wanted to invest.
