Ann, I live in south Florida about 30 miles north of Miami. Hurricanes pass over here every few years or so but don't bother me much. I live in a fourth floor condo with high impact windows so I don't have to worry about flooding, wind damage or trees falling on me. My sister-in-law decided to flee when a hurricane was coming. She drove up to Daytona but then they said the hurricane was heading to Daytona so she drove up to Jacksonville but then they said the hurricane was heading to Jacksonville so she drove up to Georgia then they said the hurricane was heading to Georgia etc. I just stayed here and admired the storm as it blew through. If something were to happen I would want to be here to tackle the problem at once rather than to come back and find that things was gotten worse through neglecting the problem.
My son bought an EV but he is not happy with it. It is going to take a while until he can get a home charging device installed at his house so he has to take it to a charging station and sit there all the time it takes to charge.
