Mysterious Horse ( pun intended) , what a world we live in! I myself inherited my fathers acres. Land with 10-12 dog kennels where he housed young pups learning how to find/point/flush birds. All of it was big $$ for him from people too lazy to train their own dogs.
I ended up bulldozing it all, saving only one kennel for our last remaining dog. That in itself, is reserved for our last dog who still doesn't quite grasp he screwed up -- you sleep outside tonight!!. I guess I'm not my father, for I can't even be mean to even one last goofed up idiot dog. Last time I tossed him out there...., Mrs Briguy immediately led him back inside, scowling at me with her evil eye...."WHY is our dog locked in that outside pen?!?!"...... (oh crap).
Of course, my fathers world of dogs that existed to hunt pheasants, is long gone. Our current Springer Spaniel exists only as a pet, knowing simply that he gets treats for barking at the mailman. Sigh. :o(
The Briguy family (and our hapless dog).....will likely NOT survive the apocalypse.
