mysteryhorse – You have US Army insignia (officer) in subdued black instead of gleaming gold. The subdued insignia was introduced during Vietnam and is still in use. The crossed cannons indicate the Artillery Corps. I see a subdued hat badge (the eagle and shield) and what looks to be a second lieutenant bar (if it’s gold, if it’s silver that’s a first lieutenant). The little round starred device I can't see very well. Can you do a closeup of it? Might be a pin for something after service, like the American Legion or VFW.
