Taa daaaaa... I ve sold 2 books this last week on the river . The first in almost 3 years! The first was a book on the butterfly fauna of Ceylon. Had insets of butterfly pics . The book itself was trashed ( and I described it ) . cover wear , no spine etc. I felt it might have been of interest to a butterfly nut or crafter. There were only two listed, both over $125. I listed at 25 and it sold in 4 days.So I guess you can say I m back in the saddle again... well at least approaching the horse.

Had taxes done and getting a fed refund. Enough to pay the state, a facial and maybe some new plants , so I am a happy camper there. WE paid the last 3 years and now will have to scout out the taxes dh did , as I don't think we should have been paying

The weather ha been typical April ,, rainy off and on and wow, the wind has been more like March.

Made my peapod order at 10 pm last night....it will be here between 6 and 8 tonight,,,, thos I could choose other time frames I took the one with a delivery discount . I lied the other day. delivery is more , if you spend less than 100. I do pile up on pop, juices , water etc. Then the guy can carry in the heavy ( and all ),,,, not me !!

Beth,,, well when it rains it pours. I think AEG mentioned that . Not much or average going on or its all at once. I did it too . Planned a dr apt and attending a closing for my son on the same day ! Also jammed another apt in same day as the rugs being cleaned .( btw a tip of my hat to you on the students),

March is a great time for b days,,,, dd and a gs . And the birthstone is lovely,,,, aqua marine is often found as the very palest sheer blue,,, many people think the blue topaz is an aqua marine.

Will read some more here then off to move the bedroom chairs to make rom for carpet guy.

I m formulating a new parking format. For the better of 3 years, I would drop off hubby and then park . We did get the handicapped thing for the car. Actually, I use it more now my self because of ra and knee problems.
I am lucky enough to have most big grocery shopping delivered by peapod. Especially when I want pop , water cases . They carry it right into the kitchen for me. The delivery is very reasonable and I do tip the guy. I have not been to a grocery store in over the last 2 1/2 winters. No snow ice slogging , no carrying it to the car, into the house. He even places the cold frozen near the fridge and other by the dry storage cabinets, Some times I spend less as I am not going thru aisles and picking up this and that. There is name brands and house brands, They even have stamps.I know it is not available every where. While I do have to force myslf to get out of the house ,,,, I m not carrying big heavy stuff.

Shortly before the holidays, I found out what I was driving had numerous repairs needed. ( I did have a second opinion so I don't think I was being BS ed.). I decided to get a new car. It is silver and I too was disappointed there were not too many other choices. I would have preferred a light blue or green . At first my kids were a lil upset, but now they get it, that I am a bit safer . There is 5 yr bumper to bumper coverage, blue tooth and enjoying the Sirius radio So nice not to hear same commercials over and over. As I m not on the go very much , the car just turned 1000 miles. ( does that make my car that the lil ol lady only drove on sunday ) .

Several years ago, hubby bought his dream car. 67 Mustang convertible. It is red with wide white racing stripes. I only drove it a few times as it did not have power steering. We put in the power brakes and planned on the ps next. ThoI learned to dive with out power , I surely didn't want to screw up and hit any thing,

have a auction to go to soon that has OODLESS(!) of glass things. will have to keep my eyes open for smalls as I cant always count on moving help. ( maybe I better ask one of the lawn boys if they can be ready).
Our lawn service, got out of cutting lawns so trying some one else.

Oscars,, ( late to the party here).... I had guessed metalics would be the fav for dresses. One thing that surprised me was how many women had their hair, real or not,, as a pony on the one side.

Been hanging in here,,,, tired of snow. been a record year. Pat is now on o2 round the clock. Kinda hard for him to do the stairs. We wanted to invest in a travel machine and after found a used one, found out 3 of the companies here will not sell us parts or service them as we did not buy from them. WE found some filters on ebay, but now we don't have the right driver or stamina for it. Grrr

DD Kym tho lives 120 min away makes a point that we see each other at least every 2 weeks. She has gotten a job for the USPS working pt alternating 2 days and one day a week. She delivers a rural route that is so rural, after the course of the day (5 6hours) does not pass a gas station or stop sign. Using her own Subaru, she sits half on the middle.

I came to day to thank many of you. It was many years ago this week,,,, was my mother s big birthday. I asked for card to be sent to her, So many of you responded.... over 82 cars came. Some were post cards some had lil letters in them. She was just really shocked that people I ' knew' would do that. I still have the cards and look thru them once I in a while.
Wanted to say thanks again.

Lludwig..... the whole family is going to Canada. Not sure of their proximity to the school as I heard they are renting an old farm.
