So it was either an EV or a horse. And you can't have just one horse, so a car it was.
The phone was because I was changing service provider due to yet another price increase from someone giving me crappy service, and it wasn't until they were in the process of porting my number they asked me what phone I was using. "Oh we don't support those; the phone will work but you won't be able to contact emergency services"!! Needless to say it didn't work so had to get a new phone the next day.
The vacuum cleaner started screaming at me (bearing probably), so had to get a new one of those, too.

Not actually working the way I hoped. The puppy came with an eye condition that turned out to need surgery, the older dog had undiagnosed anxiety -- and now it turns out that he has a fairly serious musculoskeletal issue. I've done one set of x-rays ($800 thank you very much), and now they want to do more x-rays, an MRI and he may need surgery. Apparently conservative management (pain killers) only works on puppies. He's not even 3 yet...
