I can't watch those ASPCA commercials either. I find animal abuse stories extremely upsetting. My dog is a rescue. Someone spotted him and coaxed him out from under a truck cab near a restaurant. He was skin and bones. He has some challenging habits so I assume someone just dumped him. His starving days are over. I make sure he gets yummy food and lots of attention.

I think you've mentioned that you take cholesterol lowering drugs. Those drugs are known to reduce the body's levels of CoQ10 which is important for energy and heart health. My dh's doctor recommends that people on cholesterol lowering drugs take CoQ10 but not all doctors do. It's also best to take it in the ubiquinol form.

I'm always ready to discuss gardening Irene. I'm planning on starting lots of plants from seed this year. I've already ordered a gazillion.

Rose ~ There was a discussion about feedback reminders on another board some time ago. It seems that you can turn the reminder emails off as a buyer but not as a seller. If you go to your account tab, then Communication Preferences, then scroll down to Feedback. Under Feedback Reminder click None.

The Shopping Cart seems to be working okay. I'm sure there are some glitches but I wouldn't worry about it. I haven't had any problems with it to date.

I saw that show Jim. In fact I just sent my dd an email about it today, because I'm always telling her that I'm tired of all the granite countertop hype.

casinokat ~ I was just saying today that the leaves here in Connecticut do not look good at all this year. There's a corn field across the street which backs up to lots of trees and the view at this time of year is usually breathtaking. This year it all looks kind of brown with maybe one tree that has some red. I haven't seen a poor showing like this in a long time.

I used to be very finicky about my appearance and what I wore. Everything had to be just so. My mother used to cut my hair and give me perms. I usually wasn't happy with the results and used to pout for days. I drove her crazy in that regard. Other than that I was pretty well behaved. These days I'm not finicky at all.

What happened to grano's posts? I was going to respond to one of them but I got interrupted and by the time I got back they were gone.

We finally have a nice cool, refreshing breeze coming in through the open windows this morning. A real treat after the heat and humidity, combined with lots of rain during the last few weeks.

One supermarket I go to has hand held scanners available. I love using them. Your get to see exactly what price the item rings up at. You get to put your purchases in your bags in an order that you like. When you're finished you go to the self checkout to pay. Very quick and easy.

So sorry for your loss furtima. Your mom was fortunate to have someone to care for her for so many years.
