Jim I don't remember mosquitoes at all, but the no-see-ums at the beach were awful. Also, there were crawling type bugs all over, even with pesticides roaches and other bugs were everywhere. I was not used to seeing those types of bugs when I moved there, and quickly learned what one had to do to avoid having creatures all through your house. I was used to a winter where most bugs etc. were killed off and/or disappeared so Florida was an eye opener for me (to be honest I had never even seen a roach until I moved to Florida). Frankly, most of my problem is that I cannot handle heat and humidity, especially now. I lived in Florida when I was in my 20s and was better able to tolerate it then. I had a horse there, but during the summer would be at the barn really, really early to ride, after 8 or 9 am it was too beastly. I used to enjoy riding through the orange groves, and the horse I had at that time liked eating oranges (peeled).
