It is very different than most June mornings I remember. In some ways like the night before Christmas for not a leaf or creature is stirring not even a mouse, bird, chipmunk or squirrel. The grass and other greenery is a dry shad of yellow or brown. We have experienced other droughts here in Indy but never this early in the year.
On the other hand, the porch flowers are beautiful for they are well watered. I find myself filling the teakettle with cold water gathered while waiting for the hot to come along the plumbing. The bird bath takes several buckets full. The hose is over on the other side of the house and it is easier to just take the water from the kitchen. The robins splash a lot of their water out so the grass is greener around the bb. They drink a lot too so it takes several trips a day to keep it full.
