Good morning everybody. Where is everybody? Probably hunting a sweatshirt or sweater? It is cold here in eastside Indianapolis. It was 35* when DH went out to get the morning paper and is only 34* now. The sun is shining brightly and the cold snap slapped all the geraniums and begonas that were still out side. They will have to go into the garage until we put them all together in one big pot for the winter. Then they will live in the dark corner of the furnace room until springtime.
Must get the treats together for all of the Halloween critters. Then begin the plan for the 36 souls that will be with us in November to celebrate Thanksgiving. dinner it'self will be at my eldest DD's houses after which the celebration moves mostly here and there, DD's and DS's. Some will be here early that week and leave on Friday and others will be here on Wednesday and stay until Sunday. They will all spend the nights at either our house or my son's or my DD's.
They sleep in shifts and mainly dwell at our house trying to not miss anything. My DH and I will creep away to our room to grab some sleep any time we are tired of it all. The party just continues on and on. Some are going to take the little ones to the Indy Children's Museum. Also on Black Friday starting very early in the morning some will go Christmas shopping and find some bargains. Cleaning up after all that is done by everyone who stayed here, mainly my youngest DD and her family. Then magically, all of the weeds and downed debris from all the trees will just disappear. Often, our car will get a thorough cleaning and washing too. Of course they eat a lot too. Someone is eating all of the time. Someone is loading or unloading the dishwasher all of the time.
The wonderful part is there doesn't seem to be any arguments or bad feelings or spats at all if there are, we are not aware of them. I think that since they don't see each other except for that one week in a year, that they just cope with it all.
Thank you God indeed.
