Sounds like an interesting read. Grano. Right now I am reading a history book , starting at year 1000. It is called " the time tables of American history'. Done in a charted / year style. I can compare what was going on where in the world by areas such as politics, arts. science & tech etc. I am amazed, how short of time ( or long) somethings happened.
IE : 1676 , Mass, regulates the price of shoes to five pence and a half penny for all plain and wooden heeled shoes. Also, same year , COnn, forbids any one to wear clothes that do not match their place in society. This applied to the wearing of silks, gold or silver lace and any other luxury fabric.
