Back from the Farmer's Market where among other things I bought more green tomatoes! Saw another vendor that had them. Next year I will be trying that topsy turvy tomato grower than bethofvt uses and says it is great. That way I can pick my own green tomatoes plus buy more at the farmer's market! I really need to go to the Farmer's Market earlier in the day. Not only is is cooler in the hot parking lot but the Amish stand where the corn is picked in the morning was sold out! Next Tuesday I will make it my mission to be there soon after it opens!

@bookbase Perhaps you would know this given your background. I used to take vitamins any old time of day, including the prescribed Vit D and the 2 doses of Calicum with D. Then I read that for the vitamins to be absorbed one was supposed to take them when one ate. I read the bottles and sure enough that is what they say to take with meals. DH thinks it is just a CYA type of thing that the companies put on in case people get upset stomachs etc. Doesn't really matter anymore since I do take them with meals now but I wonder about that. Not only vitamins but other meds too will have the "take with food" and if that is for the absorbtion or so that one doesn't get an upset stomach. The other thing is that until recently I used to pop 2 of the calicum pills at one time so that I wouldn't forget but now I've read that one should not do that and that for the best benefit the body should be receiving a 'steady' dose so to speak. I did recently see that Citracal came out with an "extended release" so that one only had to take one a day to get the full dose. I just buy whatever is on special but after reading that I may compare prices and see how much more expensive it is to switch to Citracal ER.
